If you think a crêpe spot is exactely what 14th street is missing, well, you are in luck as not just one but two new restaurants serving crêpes are poised to open kitty-corner from each other at the intersection of S and 14th.
Some 10 days ago, Prince of Petworth reported that the former Circle Boutique would possibly be turned into a Crêpe-a-go-go. Crêpes yes but the go-go's a no-go. Instead, it will be coffee place called Point Chaud (a pun on the French translation ofHot Spot) serving café and crêpes. Point Chaud's neighbour, Garden District, seemed to have had the same idea and Joe Carmack will be pairing up with Chef Vincent Bradberry of Felix Restaurant to open Crêpes on the Corner. The new restaurant will be located at 1801 14th street, in the space previously occupied by Garden District until their move across the intersection a few weeks ago. Sweet news to my French ears, but trust me, I still make the best crêpes in the city! Stratch all this, it has now been announced that Crêpes on the Corner will not open. Sad. In the meantime though,
Crepes on the Walk opened right by the Verizon Center. Miam.

Mmmmm . . . crepes . . . this is exciting.
Fantastique!!!!!!!
I'm way overdue on a crepe night ... :)
I saw this place last weekend after DC blogger's bake sale. Perhaps you could organize a meal there once it opens? :)
Does anyone know more about Point-Chaud? Vincent backed out of catering a party of mine, and I thought it would be great to get the P-C guys!
